A Senior portrait session in the north woods of Minnesota? Who'd say no to that! I jumped at the chance to photograph Luke, a Colorado high school senior, at the family cabin the summer before his senior year. An important place to him that he has been spending his summers at since he was a kid.

Choosing a location that is meaningful makes for a stunning session that is treasured for years to come. I have found that choosing a location is especially important for a senior portrait session when you are defining who you are as you either enter or are in your senior year of high school. Here are a couple tips of what to consider when choosing your senior portrait photographer and location.

2. Where do you enjoy spending time?

3. Who will you need a permit or permission from?

4. Are there activities you like doing that could be photographed
